Unstoppable India No Match For Woeful West Indies

India was unstoppable on the field, West Indies were clueless

They were always the favorite to win the match but the way Unstoppable India downed West Indies was brilliant. Virat Kohli’s men were outstanding be it in batting, fielding and bowling, and dominated the match from the toss. The Men In Blue were unstoppable throughout the match, whereas the West Indians were clueless on the field. From winning the toss to winning the match, the only time they went slow was when their batsmen were rebuilding the innings.

Kohli, Dhoni Score Fifties As India Post 268/7 in 50 overs

There was no stopping Indian Captain Virat Kohli and former Captain MS Dhoni who batted as per the requirement of the match. Kohli began slow but his 72 were instrumental in his team’s huge score. MS Dhoni mostly scored in singles and doubles but when it was required, he unleashed his wild side, ending with 56 off 61 deliveries. Rahul and Pandya missed their half-centuries but their contribution was vital to the team’s win.

Mohammad Shami takes another four-wicket haul for Unstoppable India

Mohammad Shami was the pick of the bowlers for the second consecutive time as he ended with 4 wickets. Jasprit Bumrah and Chahal’s 2 wickets each helped India restrict West Indies for 143 all out in the 35th over. Only Sunil Ambris and Nicholas Pooran provided some resistance with 31 and 28 runs respectively, but that was not enough. India won the match by 125 runs, and march towards the semi-final stage which is now just one point away.

Unstoppable India Just One Point Away From Entering Semi-Finals

Although they have been undefeated, the Indian team is still one point away from ensuring a place in the last four. They will face England in their all-important match on Sunday which will decide which team moves first into the semi-finals.  South Africa will face Sri Lanka today in a crucial match for the latter; they will increase their chances of qualifying for the next round if they win. Otherwise, South Africa can save their face by winning only their second match of the mega event, before they head home for a post-mortem of their performance.
