Tech Giant Amazon Has Finally Entered Into The Pakistani Market!


Amazon has finally registered its office in Pakistan!

The government’s struggles to bring the global tech firms in Pakistan are finally bearing fruit and the biggest achievement in this regard is bringing tech kingpin Amazon in Pakistan.

The global tech giant Amazon has recently entered into the market of Pakistan as the e-commerce platform is registering its office in the country under the name of Amazon Data Services Pakistan (Pvt) Ltd.

According to the details of the Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP), Paul Andrew Macpherson would serve as the CEO of the office.

Moreover, Bilal Gilani, Executive Director of Gallup Pakistan also shared the news through his tweet saying:

“Amazon has registered an office in Pakistan under the name Amazon Data Services Pakistan (Pvt) Ltd. According to records of the SECP (Securities & Exchange Commission of Pakistan), Amazon’s Pakistan office will be led by Paul Andrew Macpherson, who will be the CEO.”

Paul Andrew Macpherson is also serving as the Director of Infrastructure Operations for (Australia, Japan, South Korea) at Amazon Web Services (AWS) for the last 7 months.

Not to forget that Amazon, owned by billionaire Jeff Bezos, is considered one of the big four companies along with Google, Apple, and Facebook and referred to as “one of the most influential economic and cultural forces in the world.”
