Shahid Afridi Tests Positive For COVID-19!

Former Pakistani Captain Shahid Afridi revealed on his twitter that he is COVID-19 positive!

The coronavirus pandemic has affected everyone in the world and the rapid increase in the COVID-19 cases in Pakistan is a cause for concern. Former captain of Pakistan Cricket team and the ever-prolific, Shahid Afridi has fallen victim to this contagious virus as well, which he revealed through his twitter.

In his recent tweet Shahid Afridi shared:


“I’ve been feeling unwell since Thursday; my body had been aching badly. I’ve been tested and unfortunately, I’m COVID positive. Need prayers for a speedy recovery, InshaAllah.”

Meanwhile, Pakistan Cricket Board also tweeted:

“Get well soon. Praying for your swift recovery!”

Not only that but cricketer Mohammad Hafeez also reacted to his post saying:


“You are a fighter by nature. I am sure you will fight the virus and will defeat it soon.”

Even Kamran Akmal also prayed for his speedy recovery tweeting:


“In shaa Allah you will be fine soon Ameen.prayers are for your long healthy life. Get well soon.”

Journalist Fifi Haroon also shared:


“Praying for Shahid Afridi’s health. We may not have always seen eye to eye on issues but he has done more for this country and for those afflicted by Corona in the last few weeks than many have ventured to do in a whole lifetime. Hence my total respect. Lala, get well soon.”

Boom Boom Shahid Afridi was an all-rounder who retired from international cricket in the year of 2017 ending his 21-year long career.
