Junaid Jamshed being remembered on 3rd death anniversary

Today marks the 3rd death anniversary of the famous religious scholar and Naat Khwan Junaid Jamshed whose legacy still lives in our hearts.

The former singer and founder of the pop music band ‘Vital Signs’ has millions of followers all over the world. JJ was the leading voice of the Pakistan music industry back in the late 80s and the 90s. He gave us some evergreen songs including ‘Aitebaar’, ‘Dil Dil Pakistan’, ‘Dil Ki Baat’, ‘Goray Rang Ka Zamana’ and ‘Sanwali Saloni’.

Born in Karachi on 3rd September 1964, Junaid Jamshed served Pakistan Air Force as an engineer for a brief period. Later, focused on his passion; singing and ruled over the music world for 15 years with his talent and hard work.

In 2004, JJ decided to leave the music industry to shift his focus on Islamic teachings when he was at the peak of popularity.

While he was on a mission to preach Islamic teachings to the residents of Chitral, he died along with his wife in a plane crash when PIA flight PK-661 of aircraft ATR-42 turboprop plane crashed near Havelian with 47 passengers and crew members on-board.

On his 3rd death anniversary today, Pakistani celebrities also paid tribute to the legend on his death anniversary.

Ahad Raza Mir wishes that he had an opportunity to meet Junaid Jamshed in person. The Ehd e Wafa actor added that we should never forget the artists who helped shape us and our country.
