Ramzan Moon Not Sighted, Holy Month to Begin In Pakistan From Tuesday
The Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee under Mufti Munib-ur-Rehman met in Karachi for the sighting of the crescent moon for Ramzan. However, the moon was not sighted anywhere in Pakistan. The first day of Ramzan will be on Tuesday, May 7.

Moreover, an official of the Ministry of Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony said that other members of the committee have attended Zonal and District Ruet-e-Hilal Committees in their respective cities.

Furthermore, the Pakistan Meteorological Department predicted the possibility of moon sighting on the evening of May 6. Countries in the Middle East including Saudi Arabia will observe the first fast of the holy month on May 6.
The Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee barred the Pakistan Meteorological Department from making any prediction regarding moon saying that its prediction created confusion among masses.
