PM Imran Khan Wants Karachi Transformation Plan Finalization To Be The First Priority!

PM Imran Khan is now taking control of the ownerless city!

Prime Minister Imran Khan has directed the members of his government to finalize the proposed ‘Karachi Transformation Plan’ and it is to be done at the first-priority basis.

During the high-level meeting, the premiere shared his comments when the proposed plan designed by the planning ministry to address the massive challenges faced by the metropolitan city was discussed.

The high-level meeting was attended by Planning Minister Asad Umar, Shipping and Maritime Affairs Ali Zaidi, Sindh Governor Imran Ismail, National Disaster Management Authority Chairman Lt Gen Mohammad Afzal among other officials.

The Prime Minister office quoted:

“The country’s development is linked to Karachi’s progress. [The government] is aware of the challenges that Karachi’s residents have been facing for years. We cannot look away from the difficulties being faced by residents. The Centre will play its role to solve Karachi’s problems and its progress.”

The meeting held after the massive devastation happened in the metropolis due to the poor infrastructure and drainage system that flooded the whole city.
