PIA aircraft was traveling from Lahore to Karachi!
A Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) aircraft PK-A320 crashed in Karachi’s Model Colony near Jinnah International Airport carrying 90 passengers and 8 crew members on Friday.
According to the officials, PIA aircraft was about to land when the pilot informed the control tower about some technical issue he was facing and he decided to go around rather than land even though the two runaways were ready for landing. The ill-fated plane crashed only moments before its expected landing. The plane crashed on the houses built in the area which is believed to have caused more casualties.
The ill-fated flight was carrying Director Programming 24 News Ansar Naqvi and Bank of Punjab President Zafar Masood among the passengers.
PM Imran Khan also tweeted regarding the matter saying:
Shocked & saddened by the PIA crash. Am in touch with PIA CEO Arshad Malik, who has left for Karachi & with the rescue & relief teams on ground as this is the priority right now. Immediate inquiry will be instituted. Prayers & condolences go to families of the deceased.

Sindh Governor Imran Ismail also stated:
“The concern now is of casualties of people in the area. Rangers and rescue services have been sent, we are trying to save as many lives as possible.”
PIA plane crash rescue operations!
The troops of Pakistan Army and Rangers were quick to reach the site to assist the civil administration in providing relief and rescue. Several houses were damaged and 15-20 persons are rescued from the crash sites.
Right now, the authorities of PIA are saying it is premature to point out any technical fault in the plane but if we see the history of PIA we will find some authentic proofs of PIA aircrafts being unsafe for travel due to their incompetent staff and their obsolete technology.
In 2016, PIA flight PK-661 crashed on its way to Islamabad from Chitral on December 7. It was carrying 48 passengers as well as crew members. There were no survivors on the ill-fated flight.
Last year also PIA aircraft nearly escaped accidents when the plane skidded through the runway while it was landing in Gilgit airport. However, passengers remained safe but the plane suffered considerable damage.
PIA should be privatized, their planes should be scrapped and staff dismissed. Whoever will take the airline will be for its routes. PIA has one of the most prized air routes in the world, which has always been the saving grace for the National flag carrier.
