Pakistan Super League is inching towards its final matches in the United Arab Emirates with former champions Peshawar Zalmi on top of the Points Table. Their four-wicket win over Islamabad United in their last match solidified their situation and took their points to 10 off 7 matches with a net run rate of 0.852 from that is better than Quetta Gladiators’ 0.085.
Quetta Gladiators may not have won the event in the past but they are sandwiched between two-time champions Islamabad United at number 3 and Peshawar Zalmi at number 1. It is sad to see Islamabad with just 8 points from as many matches, considering they are the defending champions but playing without Misbah ul Haq, the captain who won them the title twice.
Lahore Qalandars playing without skipper Mohammad Hafeez are at the fourth position with six points from seven matches; their effort this season seems better because in the past they lost more matches than any other team. Karachi Kings have six points as well from seven outings but they have lost 4 matches and won just 3 which is just better than Multan Sultans who despite having Shoaib Malik and Shahid Afridi in the side have made the sixth place their own.
