Mahnoor Shahzad claimed a win over Bulgaria’s Tanya Ivanova in the quarterfinals

Pakistani badminton star Mahnoor Shahzad has won a bronze medal in the recently concluded Bulgarian International Championship 2019.

Mahnoor was the only player who represented Pakistan in this international championship which organized from 3rd October to 6th October.

Mahnoor Shahzad took to Twitter sharing this big achievement and we are very proud of her!

The 22-year-old seemed really proud to represent Pakistan in this tournament. She is also very satisfied with her performance and hopes to work harder for the next events!

Here’s what Mahnoor wrote:

My journey in the Bulgarian International Championship 2019 concluded with a bronze medal for Pakistan. As the only Pakistani player participating in the tournament, I’m quite satisfied at making it to the top 3. I am gratified by the support, and working hard for the next events

Mahnoor Shahzad was awarded a bronze medal alongside Inga Sadaic who also couldn’t reach the final

Earlier, Mahnoor Shahzad had shared that she reached the semifinals of this International Championship by beating the Bulgarian star player Tanya Ivanova in the quarterfinals with a score of 21-11 and 22-20.

The Karachi based player, Mahnoor stands at 165th position in the rankings and had a walkover in Round 32. She ended her campaign with a score of 17-21, 12-21 against Getter Saar of Estonia in the semifinals.

We are very proud of this young girl who has not just represented Pakistan on an international stage but has also won a medal for her talent and hard work. We hope that Mahnoor will bag many more achievements in her career.
