Pakistani Celebrities Talk About India’s Failed Moon Mission ‘Chandrayaan-2’

Fawad Chaudhry, Armeena Khan, and Hamza Ali Abbasi Shared Their Opinion on Chandrayaan -2

Chandrayaan-2 mission, India’s attempt to land on moon failed on Saturday after Indian spacecraft appeared to have crashed near the Moon’s South Pole.

The world kept a close eye on this latest attempt to land on the moon but unfortunately, it failed. The Chandrayaan-2 mission was developed and launched by India’s Space Agency. It began orbiting the moon in August and released a lander yesterday.

As per the reports, the initial parts of the descent went smoothly. However, Mission Control lost contact with the lander, named Vikram, when it was less than two miles above the surface as the trajectory diverged from the planned path.

Indian officials have not yet announced the cause of the failure. The director of India’s space program, K. Sivan announced that the data is being analyzed.

Considering the hype given to Chandrayaan-2, Pakistanis were as interested in this moon mission just like the rest of the world.

We all know what happens on social media between Indian and Pakistanis whenever it’s a matter of great concern for either nation. Where many Pakistanis appreciated India’s attempt to land on the moon, many found it as a perfect opportunity to get back at the neighbors.

The Indo-Pak social media war turned ugly after Pakistanis started to troll Indians over this failed moon mission and it didn’t stop Indians to give them a reply either.

Pakistani Celebrities also shared their opinions over India’s failed moon mission.

Armeena Khan who has been very vocal about the Kashmir Issue also shared her stance on Chandrayaan-2.

The actress/humanitarian added that she’s not celebrating anyone’s failure and acknowledged that it’s an achievement in itself to reach that far.

However, she asked them to think about how Kashmiris are suffering from not being able to contact their families.

She also asked Pakistanis to not celebrate anyone’s failure as it won’t make them any better!

According to Hamza Ali Abbasi, India should first consider solving the issue of poverty than living in a delusion as some superpower!

Shamoon Abbasi also requested to focus on the facts!

The social media tension got worse after our own Federal Minister for Science and Technology Fawad Chaudhry made fun of ISRO’s Chandrayaan-2 mission.

Surprisingly, Fawad Chaudhry seemed quite amused by the fact that India couldn’t land on the Moon despite being just a few miles away. However, he didn’t only face backlash from Indians but Pakistanis also didn’t like his childish and mocking attitude over Chandrayaan-2.

They think that a Federal Minister should not be making fun of India when the education and technology sector of our own country is struggling!

Fashion designer Deepak Perwani also seemed quite disappointed on Fawad Chaudhry’s tweets!

Asim Jofa, another leading name in the Pakistan fashion industry, also reacted!

And many other Pakistanis also think the same!
