The corridor will connect Darbar Sahib in Kartarpur with Dera Baba Nanak shrine in Gurdaspur district of Punjab and facilitate visa-free movement of Indian pilgrims, who will only have to obtain a permit to visit Kartarpur Sahib. Pakistan has scheduled to open the Kartarpur corridor for Indian Sikh pilgrims from 9th November 2019.

Let’s see if the former Indian Prime Minister will accept the invitation to come to Pakistan. Given the tension between Pakistan and India over Kashmir, it will be considered as a goodwill gesture from Pakistan.
