The third and final T20 international between Pakistan and Bangladesh has been abandoned without a ball being bowled, due to persistent rain. Pakistan wins the series 2-0.

The spectators at Gaddafi Stadium Lahore were entertained by an emerging Pakistani side that defeated Bangladesh by nine wickets in the 2nd T20 to clinch the series 2-0. Despite an entertaining 65 by Tamim Iqbal, the hosts managed to race to the target for the loss of one wicket.

The visiting Bangladeshi side won the toss for the second time and elected to bat first. Despite an entertaining 53-ball 65 from Tamim Iqbal Bangladesh only managed to post 136 runs for the loss of six wickets in 20 overs. The only other batsmen to reach double figures included Afif Hossain (21) and Mahmudullah (12) who did so off the same number of deliveries. Mohammad Hasnain was the most successful bowler with 2 wickets, while Haris Rauf, Shaheen Afridi, and Shadab Khan managed one each.
Babar Azam, Hafeez struck fifties to steer Pakistan to victory
Pakistan started their innings in the worst possible way, losing Ahsan Ali for a duck in the second over. However, Captain Babar Azam and senior batsman Mohammad Hafeez were in a different mood as they scored the required runs in the 17th over. Hafeez top-scored with an unbeaten 67 while Babar Azam remained 66 not out as Pakistan ended the match with nine wickets to spare. Shafiul Islam was the only visiting bowler to take a wicket as Pakistan clinched the series two-nil, with one match remaining.
Pakistan will retain its number 1 ranking in the ICC World T20 points table.
