Nescafe Basement’s current season is making waves around the country with some of the most amazing covers and originals. They are not only providing a platform to the young talent of Pakistan but also reviving classic numbers without disrespecting the originals.
Their latest song Resistance brings forward an amazing talent and helps in changing the perception of the audience as well who think that the contemporary music that prevails in the industry will stay forever.
Resistance is an original number by Abdullah Siddiqui, a teenaged singer/songwriter and producer and his song is a new take into Electronic Dance Music which was produced live in the studio, curated by Sync. The music has been reproduced by Jamal Rehman, CEO of True Brew Records and Zulfiqar Jabbar Khan aka Xulfi.
The track is not just vocally addictive but has a visual trance as well!
The video features the light wizardry of Sync, accompanied by jaw-dropping Laser Harp technique which is an electronic musical user interface and laser lighting display, drum pads beat, backing vocals and bass. One of the most intriguing parts of the performance was the LED Suits worn by the Dhulara players in the front.
Abdullah has been making music since he was 10 and had been nominated at LSA 2018 as best emerging talent. He has played at Lahore Music Meet and has a number of credits as an underground Indie musician.
