It has been nearly two years that Naqeebullah Mehsud was killed in a fake encounter!
Naqeebullah Mehsud’s father Muhammad Khan lost his battle to cancer on Monday. Muhammad Khan was the only one who was fighting for justice for his son’s murder in a fake encounter.
Naqeebullah Mehsud was killed in an encounter by Karachi’s notorious police officer Rao Anwar in 2018. The Sindh High Court indicted Rao Anwar and seventeen other officers for their involvement in Naqeebullah’s case. However, Rao Anwar was released on bail later.
Before his death, Muhammad Khan and his family submitted a plea in Sindh High Court to cancel the bail of Rao Anwar, claiming he would be a potential threat to his family. The case was heard on the 28th of November and it is still pending at the court.
Muhammad Khan had faith in our justice that’s why he wanted to fight through the proper channels for his son’s murder. People are sharing their condolences and criticizing the process of the state’s ineffectiveness.

Let’s bury the judiciary & the justice along with the father of #NaqeebMehsud and let’s reward, regard & award untouchables like #RaoAnwar.
Mr PM, U always hit political mafias but u never hit mafias like Rao Anwar, their defenders & accomplices. Please stop talking about Madina https://t.co/2NzK3p05ir
