Meesha Shafi’s manager, Syed Farhan Ali appeared in the court, testifying as an eyewitness who was present at the jamming session and said that he didn’t see any act of sexual harassment by Ali Zafar as alleged by Meesha Shafi.
After Saba Hamid and Iffat Omar appeared as Meesha’s witness and recorded statement against Ali Zafar, this is the latest development in the defamation case filed by Zafar against Shafi.
While recording his statement in a defamation suit, Syed Farhan Ali said:
“I was present in the jamming session held in the house of the plaintiff, Ali Zafar. I didn’t see any act of sexual harassment by the plaintiff as alleged by the defendant.”
He also added that Meesha Shafi told him that Ali Zafar has sexually harassed her after she informed that she would not work with him.
“Prior to the shooting of second season show, the management told us that Ali Zafar stood replaced for Atif Aslam.” (Other panelists were Fawad Khan and Meesha Shafi)
“On the same night, Ms. Meesha informed me that she would not work with him.”
Earlier, Rizwan Raees, who has been both Ali Zafar’s and Meesha Shafi’s manager, also testified that Shafi tried to threaten Ali Zafar to pull out a hefty amount from the multinational company and have Ali removed from it.
Last month, Lahore High Court had dismissed Meesha Shafi’s case of sexual harassment against Ali Zafar on 11th October 2019. Meesha Shafi had filed an appeal against Ali Zafar in her harassment case after the court exonerated Ali Zafar for the first two times.
