The Chief Minister of Sindh Murad Ali Shah has announced a Cash prize of Rs. 100,000 each for the boys and 200,000 for coaches of Karachi United for winning the Under -19 football tournament in Qatar last week. He met the winners of Doha Junior Football Tournament at the Chief Minister (CM) house, played football with them and presented Football kit and Ajrak as a gift to players.

The Chief Minister also promised to make available a proper football pitch to promote football in Lyari. Pakistan People’s Party’s Senator Murtaza Wahab tweeted about it as well.

Karachi United raised the Pakistani flag at international level by defeating the Aspire Club in the final to win under-19 football tournament in Qatar.

It must be mentioned here that apart from three players – Sheeraz Khalid, Muhammad and Hasan – the rest of the footballers are the residents of Lyari.
