Talking to Something Haute, Feroze Khan Recalled His First Meeting with Khalil-ur-Rehman Qamar

The Khaani star Feroze Khan is flying high ever since he won the LSA Best Actor Award. The heartthrob won the hearts of many with his amazing performance in Mehreen Jabbar’s ‘Dil Kya Kare’ alongside Yumna Zaidi and we are impatiently waiting to see him back on our screens.

Talking to Something Haute, Feroze has finally shed some light on his upcoming projects on TV as well as on the big screen. However, what caught the attention of many was when Feroze Khan recalled his first meeting with the famous writer Khalil-ur-Rehman Qamar.

The same Khalil-ur-Rehman Qamar who is currently making headlines ever since he made misogynistic comments and mocked feminists. Moreover, his ongoing drama ‘Mere Paas Tum Ho’ has also become the talk of the town because of its controversial plot.

Feroze Khan shared that when he first met him, Khalil-ur-Rehman told him that he would never be an actor. Since that day, Feroze promised himself to prove him wrong and after he won the award, it didn’t matter to him anymore.

Talking about the recent controversy, Feroze thinks Khalil ur Rehman has no right to say such things about anyone.

Here’s what Feroze Khan said:

I had heard so much about KRQ’s work that when I first met him I sat on the floor in front of him, out of respect. But he told me that I would never be able to be an actor. When I came out of that room, I vowed that I would prove him wrong and God helped me. Once I lifted that trophy, he didn’t matter anymore. That said, what he’s been saying about people, he has no right to say these things about anyone. Nothing gives him the license to shame people the way he does.

Moreover, Feroze Khan also shared that he was offered to play the role of Danish in ‘Mere Paas Tum Ho’ but then he stepped aside after Humayun Saeed was keen to play it himself.

Yes, I was offered the role of Danish. I read the script and I loved the story. We were about to close the deal but I got to know that Humayun bhai was keen on doing it himself and I happily stepped aside. I’m glad I did because he’s doing a fantastic job.
