Firdous Jamal’s son Hamza Firdous who is an emerging star himself has finally spoken up about the ongoing Mahira Khan’s controversy.
A few days back, the veteran actor Firdous Jamal found himself in hot water after he made a blunt remark over Mahira Khan’s age. Where he faced a lot of criticism from people, many Pakistani celebrities also called him out for disrespecting our superstar on national television.
Hamza Firdous took to twitter to defend his father for his comment on Mahira Khan. The Ghughi actor tried to clear the air on behalf of his father and said he doesn’t hold any grudge against Mahira Khan.
Here’s what Hamza Firdous wrote:
#FirdousJamal has given 45 years of sweat and blood to this industry. And that too without social media and only pure hardwork. Where as today, many require branding and marketing, surgeries to stay top notch. This person doesn’t need to hold grudges! His work has proven him.
I said in the same show that ”
has represented us internationaly, is a big name and I’m thankful that keh woh Humari industry mein hain”. I and my dad have different opinions so what?Should we use the difference of opinion to address personal grudges? #FirdousJamal
Like I said, I’m her fan and I’m certain that her stardom together with the efforts of every1 involved will make #superstar a #superhit and at the minimum the film will score 200cr at the box-office. All my best wishes!#postivevibes #FirdousJamal
And also we should not shove everything under the rug of chauvinism and misogyny. If he were a chauvinist by any standard, he wouldn’t have praised #saniasaeed, #SabaQamar and #mehwishhayat in the same show. #FirdousJamal #mahirakhan
As soon as Hamza Firdous cleared the air and came up with his stance over this controversy, many people came out in his support.
I would like to thank all the love and support, all the messages given by people of Pakistan. This was an unwanted fiasco. I am grateful for the outpour of love by everyone! #ProudPakistani #FirdousJamal #ThankYou #PositiveVibes
