William & Kate To Emulate Diana With Pakistan Visit
They might not be the King and Queen of England but William & Kate are quite popular in Pakistan. Prince William more so because he is the son of Princess Diana. The Queen of Hearts, Diana won over Pakistan when she visited the country 23 years back.
The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge will visit Pakistan this autumn, Kensington Palace has announced. William and Kate will travel to Pakistan 13 years after the last royal visit, when the Prince of Wales and Duchess of Cornwall travelled to the country in 2006

William & Kate Will Visit In Official Capacity!
In an unexpected move, the Kensington Palace announced late last night that the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge Prince William and Kate Middleton will undertake an official visit to Pakistan this year.

The trip will take place in the autumn. It is being carried out at the request of the U.K.’s Foreign and Commonwealth Office.
William & Kate Visit To Be First Featuring Royal Family Since 2006
It will be the first official visit by a member of the British royal family to Pakistan in 13 years. Prince Charles and his second wife Camilla traveled to the country in 2006 previously.
Memories of Princess Diana’s Visit Still Fresh
Previously, the Queen visited in 1961 when it was a developing state and later in 1997 to mark Pakistan’s 50-year celebrations.

Prince William’s mother Princess Diana visited Pakistan in 1996 on the invitation of her friend Jemima Goldsmith and her then-husband Imran Khan. Incidentally, when Prince William will visit Pakistan, the same Imran Khan will be the Prime Minister of Pakistan and will surely talk about her mother’s memorable visit.
