Three-time former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif met with his daughter Maryam Nawaz on Thursday. The two discussed the Data Darbar blast as well as the rising inflation and difficulties being faced by the public.
Subsequently, in a Twitter message, Maryam wrote about the meeting. She disclosed that Nawaz Sharif was very worried about the direction in which Pakistan is moving.

Meanwhile, a suicide attack outside Data Darbar in Lahore has left the former PM sad, according to Maryam.
“May God have mercy on Pakistan,” he prayed.

The meeting happened a day after the former premier returned to Kot Lakhpat jail. He intends to complete his sentence after the expiry of his six-week bail on medical grounds.
The Panama Papers revelations led to the removal of Sharif from office in 2017. In 2018, the Pakistani Supreme Court disqualified Sharif from holding public office, and he was sentenced to ten years in prison.
Sharif went to Saint Anthony High School. He graduated from the Government College University (GCU) with an art and business degree and then received a law degree from the Law College of Punjab University in Lahore.
