Darren Sammy considers PSL a Lifetime Treasure
The Captain of Peshawar Zalmi Darren Sammy says his experience in Pakistan Super League is the Lifetime Treasure and he won’t forget the love and respect given by the people of Pakistan. “The love and respect they have given me have been overwhelming for me and its a lifetime treasure. Pakistan is always inviting and I welcome the way that the people of Pakistan have treated me as one of their own,” Sammy was cited as saying in an official statement on Monday. Darren Sammy said the PSL is one of the best cricket tournaments on the planet and was happy at the pace at which it has developed as a brand. “I consider PSL to be a standout amongst the best leagues on the planet as it has turned out to be such a major brand in such a limited time. It is dependably a treat to play in the PSL,” said Sammy, who has been a part in the Indian Premier League and the Caribbean Premier League as well. He elaborated that PSL has been helpful to Pakistan just as it has been to the world. Players who perform in PSL likewise get picked in other global leagues and enhance their image globally. Sammy, who steered the West Indies to triumph in the 2016 World T20, said Zalmi family felt like his own. Sammy played for Peshawar Zalmi in the first Pakistan Super League in 2016 and since 2017 has been the team’s captain. With Sammy as its famous commander, the team won the second edition of the Pakistan Super League in 2017 and reached the final of the third last year.
