COMSATS Students Invent Cheap Artificial Skin!


COMSATS students make Pakistan Proud!

Students of COMSATS University Islamabad have prepared artificial skin that is cheaper than imported artificial skin. Rector of the university briefed the Senate Standing Committee on Science and technology on the student’s achievement.

The Rector told the Senate that:

“Our students have carried a successful experiment of preparing super-cheap artificial skin that will cost just 22 cents per square inch.”

They further said that the imported skin from the US costs at least 22 USD per square inch. This achievement will revolutionize burn treatments in Pakistan and will help many people including acid attack victims. Artificial skin is widely used in burn and trauma centers across the country, availability of it locally will reduce cost.


The Rector of the University also revealed that one of their students has even invented a bandage that cures diabetes. This invention will help millions of people who are suffering from the disease.

They further said that the University comprises of 400 foreign students and ranks at 131st position in the region. Senator Mushtaq Ghani chaired the Committee and congratulated the University Officials and students for these helpful inventions.
