The Chairman of Pakistan People’s Party Bilawal Bhutto Zardari will meet three-time former Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif in Central Jail Punjab (Kot Lakhpat) where the latter is presently serving a seven-year sentence in the Al-Azizia case.
Appalled to hear of the callous and inhumane treatment of imprisoned former PM Nawaz Sharif by the government. His illness should be treated seriously, be provided with proper medical care and treated with respect.

According to PPP chairman’s spokesman Senator Mustafa Nawaz Khokhar, “the only purpose of Bilawal’s visit to the jail is to inquire after the health” of the ailing supreme leader of the main opposition party Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz.
Bilawal will visit Nawaz Sharif with seasoned leaders Qamar Zaman Kaira, Mustafa Nawaz Khokhar and other party members.
This will be for the first time that the leaders of the rival parties PPP and the PML-N will be having a meeting in jail. It is possible that Nawaz’s brother and daughter – opposition leader Shahbaz Sharif and Mariam Nawaz – might also pay a visit on the same day.
On the other hand, Prime Minister Imran Khan met Chief Minister Punjab Usman Buzdar on Saturday and ordered to ensure all possible facilities to be provided to former Premier Nawaz Sharif who does not want to be treated in Pakistan.
