Bilal Maqsood Tests Positive For COVID-19

Strings’ Billal Maqsood the latest Pakistani Celebrity to contract COVID-19

Bilal Maqsood, one of the lead singers of ‘Strings’, has become the latest celebrity of the country to contract COVID-19. Bilal revealed the status of his health through his social media account on Instagram.

Bilal’s revelation about COVID-19 came as a response to a fan question during a Q&A session on his Instagram account. A fan asked about the wellbeing of Bilal’s, his father Anwar Maqsood (a famous writer, TV host & artist, actor, and comedian), and his whole family.

Bilal answered the fans’ question by saying, “I’ve tested positive, but we are all fine”.

Bilal and his pop band strings gain the adulation of the people with the launch of their song ‘Sar Kiye Yeh Pahar’ in 1992. The song became an instant hit and it started the journey of strings and Bilal into stardom.

Now 28 years later, Strings is still one of the top pop band of Pakistan, with numerous super hit songs under their belt like Dhaani, Kahani Mohabbat Ki, Koi Anay Wala Hai, and others. They even made their entry into the Bollywood music industry in 2006.

Apart from singing Bilal has also directed numerous music videos. His videography skills were portayed in famous songs like Sar Kiye Yeh Pahaar (Strings), Maula (Vital Signs), Us Raah Par (Junaid Jamshed), and others.

Many other renowned celebrities of the country have tested positive for COVID-19, with the likes of Shahid Khan Afridi, Rubina Ashraf, Rahim Shah, Vasay Chaudhry, Shafaat Ali to name a few.

Pakistan currently ranks at number 13 in the world with 181,000+ reported infections of COVID-19. The number of Casualties from the virus is 3620, while 67,892 people have recovered successfully from the deadly virus.
