Back trouble ends AB de Villiers PSL journey
It is the end of the road for former South African Cricketer and Lahore Qalandars AB de Villiers who will not be traveling to Karachi for the Pakistan leg of Pakistan Super League 4. The franchise told ESPN Cricinfo that de Villiers is suffering from a back problem and that’s why instead of going to Pakistan, he will be returning to South Africa.
The news has dealt a huge blow to the fans of the game who were super excited to see their favorite batsman in action. It also sort-of shatters the dream of Lahore Qalandars who are already without Captain Mohammad Hafeez who got injured during the tournament a few days back. They pinned their hopes on de Villiers but with him not accompanying the contingent to Karachi, some of their fans might switch loyalties to other teams.
Earlier, AB de Villiers had committed to the two matches to be played in Lahore but due to the change in the schedule where all matches would be played in Karachi, he will be traveling back home.
HIT IN PAKISTAN wishes the legendary batsman all the best for a quick recovery and hopes to see him soon in action.
