Over 600 theatre artists from across India signed a statement in which they urged their fellow citizens not to vote for BJP and their allies in the upcoming elections. Their statement added that they were going anti-Modi because of spreading hate for their own agendas.
The statement also talks about the free hand given to the local goons by BJP who ate involved in promoting hate and violence during the last five years.
Those who stood against the current government include some big names in Bollywood including Naseeruddin Shah, Ratna Pathak Shah, Anurag Kashyap, Konkona Sen Sharma, Lillete Dubey, and Manav Kaul.
The statement came through an open letter signed by the 103 Filmmakers of India on the website named artistuniteindia.com
in which they called to people by encouraging them to vote for the right and boycott BJP in these elections.
Before these statements on Wednesday, 154 scientists, researchers, and academics encourage people to reject those who launch the assault on people based on their religion, cast, gender and language or region.
